The official title for a new Star Wars movie has been announced!

A new Star War movie has finally been announced, and now fans can expect it to be directed by J.J. Abrams, a director who’s helmed some of the most successful films of all time.

This news comes as we await word on the first trailer for the film, which will be directed and produced by Abrams, and is slated for a November 2017 release.

As it turns out, Abrams and co-writer J. J. Abrams have a bit of a history, having previously worked together on the 2009-2010 Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens, which featured a cast led by Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher.

However, Abrams also directed the first two Star Wars films (including the first Star Wars film in 2015), and has directed three movies in total.

In that time, he has directed films like The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

It should be interesting to see how Abrams’ directing chops translate to Star Wars, especially with the fact that he’s been on the job for more than 20 years, having also worked on the movies Revenge of the Sith, The Force Unleashed, and Return of the Jedi.

We’re excited to finally see the new Star
